Paul,
I do not understand why Method doesn't keep track of this Balanace until the Sync. Once a refund/payment is entered to Method, you can automatically determine the new Balance, then update it if needed when Syncing with QuickBooks. The balance though is a simple calculation of Debit-Credit transactions.

The tweak is up there now. The total balance will be updated for the direct parent customer on the subsequent changes-only sync, so you are now looking at a 20 minute delay instead of full sync every morning.
The problem stems from a limitation (bug?) in the QuickBooks SDK. The parent customer is not flagged as having been ...

Mike - install Method Field Services (if you are on QB Desktop) or Method Scheduling & Invoicing (if you are on QB Online). Do this under Customize > My Account.
It has mapping built into the calendar. You can make a copy of the screen and reverse engineer what the mapping is doing.

OK, I've added a "Map" button that opens up the mapping screen in a new window using the "Plot Addresses" option. However, if I do that, I have to then toggle back to the Customer List, export some records to Excel and then paste in the postal codes. Then I can get a plot of customers.
However, I would like to just ...

Of course - right there in front of my eyes. It works now, but I have a new issue:
The Entries in the Sales Rep and Customer Name column are exported into Excel with their bold and italic markings. (see below) Is there any way to not exprt those?
In the field definitions for the grid for those 2 fields, there's an SQL override for each ...

Actually, all the grids are editable except the ones in the column for Sales Price. What do I need to do so that users can edit the grids in this column as well?

Please disregard this request. Found it in step 5 of grid wizard.

I have an idea for how we could get the TotalBalance from QuickBooks on a changes-only sync, rather than having to wait for a full sync.
I'll see if my idea holds water, and post back with my findings.

I made some changes to the EstimateLine field. Not sure what I did, but now when I'm on our Estimate screen, I can't click on a field and edit it. For example, under the column "Description", I can't click on one of the descriptions and be able to edit the text. The original Estimate screen allows you to do this. Not sure ...

Hi nick_warren,
Sorry about the delay, it's been a busy week.
The API can only access data in your method account. In the scenario discussed above. After method syncs the refund to quickbooks, quickbooks updates a balance record. Method does not know this. The only way it can know about the change in quickbooks is ...
