Yes, you read the title right. While at the QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions Conference I was asked not once, but on a couple of occasions, if it was possible to not have Method update QuickBooks in real time.
Can you say baffled? I was, especially after we worked so hard to have the integration seamless and not require any ...

On Friday (September 5th, 2008) Method has filed its first patent application to the United States Patent and Trademark Office! In fact it is the first and only patent that our company, Alocet Incorporated, has ever filed, and let me tell you, it is quite a process.

Hi,
In Quickbooks, I can use context menu "Customize Columns..." in a Bill windows to add customize fields, then I can use/edit them in a Bill.
the point is to sync with QuickBooks, so non-sync fields do not work to me. Please help.

hycari,
Since I was able to replicate this on my end (not being able to click Sync Now), I've gone ahead and created an internal ticket to make sure our team looks into this. I'll post back here to update you once I know more. Thanks

We have thousands of entries that are waiting for approval in the Non-Posted TimeTracking grid under the Post to QB tab. Is there a quick way to uncheck the checkbox in the "Wait for Sync Approval" field inside each time tracking entry?

Mike,
It should sync both ways. If you test it out and find that Item Receipts do not sync from Quickbooks to Method, feel free to give our support line a call and we can investigate.

Hi Alex,
Yes, you can do this by changing your transaction history. Navigate to QuickBooks > Synchronize, select Show options per transaction type, change both Credit Memo and Vendor Credit to None and select Save Settings. Run a full sync for the changes to take effect. I hope this helps.

Um, what happens if I figured out how to do the deletion before you replied and I DID delete the one that came with Method? Possibly my Outlook appointments won't sync up correctly? And how do I fix it now?
Never mind. After a couple hours of fiddling around, I seemed to have fixed it. Not sure how, but it seems to be working.

Sorry, the sync engine still is not populating the ItemReceiptLine.LinkToPurchaseOrder field. It's still wiping it out as far as I can tell. It's linked in QB but not in Method.
Is it working on your end?

I am glad that your issue is resolved now.
