One easy way to confirm if the name already exists or not is to use our Import/Export tool to export the Contacts table and Item table and take a good look at the FullName field for both. The name could be in use on the Method side which is preventing it from being used again.

Can you double-check that you are referencing the actual field and not some other caption or label on the screen? In the screen design, edit the field to determine the caption or label there. You will want to use that name.

Hi there, if you are using Method Field Services this is actually pretty easy and a standard feature.
Go to Field Service Center>>>Estimate
Create a new estimate or select an existing one.
Then click the button link that says ‘Create / Go To Work Order'
Then watch what happens!

You could also look at options to filter grids based on certain criteria using the transaction date of the invoice. In other words, hide Invoices you don’t want to see so they can never be selected. Just my two cents.

Your QB templates will not transfer over to Method. Our templates (we call them reports) are created using the report designer in Method not through QB. They are in a different format.
You can re-create your custom QB template in Method or you can take one of our existing templates that already resemble the standard one found in QB ...

The reason you can`t make the field required at the table level is because the field is already in use. There are probably some records that use it and some that do not, so making it required mid-way through would be inappropriate.

When you say stage are you referring to the lead (the actual contact) or the opportunity (sales deal)? For leads, why would you not use activities to track where you left off and when you have to call back? If this is for the opportunity, there is already a state field available. I would still use activities even for opportunities.

Once a customer has been sent to QuickBooks it is no longer possible to set them back to a ‘lead status’ in Method because the customer has already been assigned the Customer ID in QuickBooks.
The only work around would be to delete the customer from QuickBooks (which would also delete them from Method) and add a new lead status ...
