Our dev team are still working on this issue and currently I don't believe there is any work around for this.

Paul, Thanks for the heads-up. I will try your way because of the possibility to future modify the form using web forms. Thanks for the bits of code, beyond my present ability. In the meantime, I had created a google spreadsheet form and hosted it. It spits out an excel like spreadsheet with the replys. My plan ...

What kind of actions are in the button you created to export the grid? Is it just the Export Grid to Excel action? What if you try using the Export Grid to PDF action, does the same thing happen?
Also to confirm did you create the portal screen based off QuickBooks_TimeTracking?

Ok - So I figured out the Notes. A new table, a textbox, button, grid, and a whole bunch of actions and I got what I needed.
I am still having trouble trying to get the Record ID for Work Orders to start at a higher value. Can anyone provide some insight?
Thanks!

Thanks for providing the steps. I tried this and it worked fine for me. Apostrophes really shouldn't cause an issue, especially in a web application.
When you say there's an an error on some browsers, which browsers, and what's the exact error it gives you? It might help us to diagnose the problem.

Any table in particular that you are seeing this in?
For example, Sales Orders would be anything that is open. Open means that IsManuallyClosed=False and IsFullyInvoice=False.

Just signed up for the Field Services module and had a couple of questions:
1) How can I add a "Notes" section to the Add/Edit Work Order screen? I see that I can create tables and such, but how would I go about creating a table where a user had a free text entry for a note, but also tracked the user name of the logged in user and a ...

We have a new account and set the Transaction History to 60 days with transaction options set to default. I understand that 'open' transactions will be brought over to Method. But we are seeing transactions outside the history setting as far back as 7 years. Aside from 'open' transactions, for what other ...

I don't think so.
Transactions that are "open" such an an unpaid invoice, un-closed sales order, pending estimate, etc., will ignore the history setting. You want these showing up in Method - you want customers and staff to see an invoice that hasn't been paid, regardless of how old it is.
Also, and transaction that has not ...
