Debug Tracing is stuck in the 'on' position. The screen I've been working on doesn't even load now, for some reason. WTF?

When clicking 'Save Settings' on the Display settings page. I'm getting this error: "There was an unexpected error. Please contact your Method Administrator".

I'm experiencing errors when trying to save my Display settings. Specifically, I've been toggling on/off 'Enable Debug Tracing' all afternoon while adding a new feature. I notice that on an existing button action set, any changes I make are immediately reflected in Method with no Publish needed. What are the rules for when customization changes need a Publish vs are immediately in effect? Make sense? Thanks

Dang. Wasn't aware of that. I certainly didn't want to feel special re: this issue. We never did look at my Method QB Sync. settings yesterday but there's nothing special there, I don't think. One thing I noticed in my AuditTrail immediately after the record update goes through (the record with blank values) is the message ...

Yeah, I saw that. Thanks for the help yesterday. Good luck on fixing that bug. I wouldn't think that would be a difficult fix. A few more unit tests and perhaps some minor refactoring on the sync engine code should do it. I'm just glad the issue will be addressed and no other Method customers will have to spend a day spinning their wheels ...

Wow. That "works". Disconnecting the sync engine makes the problem go away. Saving empty values works just fine while disconnected. Connect it back up and the problem persists yet again. QB changes the value BACK to what it was before it was empty. There must be bad logic in dealing with updates in the sync engine where empty fields ...

By the way...same behavior on Estimates, as well. Stock screen. SAME. EXACT. BEHAVIOR. Once a field has a value in it, I'm unable to clear it out. The previous saved value always comes back the next time the record is loaded.
