One more thing to add is that once we do implement roles on a screen level we will have a document outlining the specifics.

There are no existing fields besides the one you mentioned that were designed for SIC code or Business category.

At the moment none of the standard Method screens take advantage of roles on screen objects/fields. The only place that these are set by Method right now are at the tab and tab link level. We currently don't have a list of what roles have access to what tabs but if you edit the tab it is displayed there.

This issue should now be resolved. Let me know if that is not the case.

Before I go creating any new fields, is there any existing field besides Customer or Lead Type that was designed for an SIC code or a Business Category?

Yes, I watched the webinar. I understand how to assign roles, add permissions, etc. But the webinar does not answer the question I asked above, which is, is there someplace where I can see a listing of the screens and actions that the "Manager" role, for example, provides permissions to.

Watching this webinar HERE will help you understand how roles work in Method.

Is there somewhere that I can see the specific permissions assigned to the pre-defined Roles? The descriptions on the Roles tab are pretty general.

I suggested making the Customer field required in the custom table and to keep note if this continues to happen.

To update this forum post:
This issue was related to a drop down field that was updated for example it was changed from John to Michael, so all the records that previously had John in it were now displaying Michael. In situations like this it is best to add a new entry instead of changing an existing one.
