When the record is saved is it being saved with a Customer name(If you bring up the record again or export it does the Customer name display)?
What fields are in this new table you created? Is the Customer field a drop down based on the Customer or Entity table?

I created a new table in which we input customer information where we may enter multiple records related to the customer. I am finding that sometimes it won't save. We can have multiple users try and it will not save the new record, but then as Admin it appears to always work. But, for those same users it does work sometimes. ...

Are you using a customized screen or an original Method Screen? If
you are using a customized screen does the same thing happen with the original

I am getting an error message when entering a new bill. When I select a vendor for the bill, I get an error message that reads
"Please make sure a valid value for 'Vendor' has been entered. It is a required field.

This is possible.
The first thing you will need to do is add the Notes field as a linked field to the Contacts table, since the Customer List screen is based off the Contacts table and by default the Contacts table does not have the Notes field in it. (Take a look at THIS if you need help with linked fields)

It doesn't really matter how you log off.
Using Chrome you could right-click on the brower tab running Method and select Duplicate, which will open a second browser tab with Method and then you could drag that browser tab outside of the current browser window.
