  • Re: List Builder Question

Like I just wrote in another post, this is way too hard.  How in the world is anyone supposed to know that?!

Sheesh! Something that should be so simple . . . again is not.  Method's greatest strength is also its greatest weakness.  I understand db tables, but I have no idea how to do this in Method and I have no way of finding out either.  It shouldn't be this hard!  People want customization, but not if it's this ...

  • Re: Customize Search Window

pdirect- The CRM_Search_CustomerList is based on the Contacts table and the CustomerType field is linked in from the Entity table, which is why it shows up as a text field and not a drop down. If you want to filter the grid by CustomerType you will have to add a drop down object and point it to the CustomerType table and then change the filter ...
  • Re: List Builder Question

pdirect- [quote user="pdirect"] And one more thing about list builder. I just sent out an embarrassing email to our customers. I had inserted the Customer.FirstName code and I thought that Method would eliminate that if the first name field was empty. But instead, it left it to look like "Customer.FirstName" if the first name ...

pdirect- The error you are getting is normally produced when you try to send an email to a email address that is not properly formatted(For example missing the @). [quote user="pdirect"]As it is, I have to go into a customer, create a new activity, check the send to email box and then click the elipses by the template line.  ...
  • Re: Customize Search Window

Under the old customize screen, I found the new search window titled "CRM_Search_CustomerList.  I edited this to show the "Customer Type" field, but it shows up as a text box instead of a dropdown box filled with the correct entries for customer type.  How do I change this from a text box to a dropdown box?

  • Customize Search Window

How do we customize the search window?  We used to sort by Customer Type in the old Method version but our customization is gone with the new version. I have no idea how to customize anything with the new version since the "customize" screen is gone.  But even when I go into the old "customize" screen, ...

ok, and while you're at it, you'll need to work on the folllowing error I receive when sending email via list builder. And it would be nice if there was a much easier way of managing email templates.  As it is, I have to go into a customer, create a new activity, check the send to email box and then click the elipses by the template ...

  • Re: Request

Danny Those are the screens I'm thinking about.  The automated ideas sound good but it would be great if the copy actions were also added to an ellipsis button click on the "Job of Customer" dropdown that way you can easily copy over changes to the parent customer. When you say address info are you including the parent ...
