Hi John,
You could add some additonal actions to the Item drop down for the text change.
You can have it so that if the Item Type for the Item you selected contains inventory then enter 15 and check % for the item.

Thank you for that. Found the conflict.
QuickBooks returned an error when adding/modifying a accPurchaseOrder
record. The error was: There was an error when saving a PurchaseOrder.
QuickBooks error message: You have no items or one or more of your
amounts is not associated with an item. Please enter an item..

I have learned to live with the fact that the time tracking screen does not properly pop up and all the other issues I have with ProSvcs, but I cannot accept ERRORS WHEN CONVERTING AN ACTIVITY TO TIME.
Please let me know when this will be fixed.

I have been making a mistake when i make up estimates. I have not been adding the sales tax to the materials. Now I pay the sales tax when i go to the store and get materials so there is not a taxing division that i have to cut a check to. What my CPA said to do is simply add this to your mark up field. i checled for a recordid validation in step 7 of the grid already, but went back and rechecked. the only validation set up is one for theaccount type. i removed that and it appears to work now. not sure what the hangup was with the recordid, since it wasnt one of the rules. thanks

Did you check your conflicts? (QuickBooks > Resolve Conflicts)
Also go to the PO in Method and Save it again.

When editing a grid on Step 7 of 9: Validation Rules do you have anything listed for any of your grids?
I was able to duplicate this issue by adding RecordID to Step 7 of 9: Validation Rules
