James- One thing that you could do is instead of selecting a contact from the drop down click on the ... next to the contact drop down, it will bring up a search window which will give you better search/filter option so you can select the correct Customer:Job. -Michael

debwiddi, For field services this would be a 2 step process. First you would need to add the customer phone number into the activity table as a linked field and then edit the Work Order template and drag the linked field onto the template.  -Michael

Is there a way to print the customer phone number on the work order?

It sounds like someone changed the Default Work Order Template. To check this, go to the Field Service Dashboard screen and click the link that says "Customize Templates" and make sure the correct work order template is selected.
