No, it evidently did not re-install correctly, because when I opened Outlook I received an error message "An add in could not be found or could not be loaded".
I have uninstalled the plug in again. I have also repaired the .NET and Visual Studio.
The only Method applications that show in Add/Remove Programs ...

Did it say that it instaled successfully or did you still get the "The following Microsoft Office solution cannot be installed due to a general installer error: OutlookMethodSync.vsto" error message?
If it said that it was installed successfully and you have Outlook 2010, can you download a new patch I've released today ...

As an FYI, when I remove the Method Outlook plugin, the Setup and Add to Methrod CRM icons are still showing onthe Outlook Add-in tab.

I have uninstalled the Method Plug In, uninstalled Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime, uninstalled .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and repaired .NET Framework 4 Client Profile. This required a reboot.
I re-installed Visual Studio Tools for Office Runtime from the link provided. vstor40_x64.exe failed to install but ...

It might help debugging, to be able to add an action—say a show-value action—and be able to enable/disable it without removing it from the list. What do you think about this as a possible feature?

Can you unistall the version of Outlook Plug-In you have currently installed and try installing latest version of Outlook Plug-In v2.1.40? Do you experience the same problems?

What version of Method Outlook Plug-In are you using? I suggest you downloading the latest version 2.1.40.
Can you also give us more detailed steps to how reproduce the problem, telling us what version of Outlook you are using and what field did you enter into the add contact screen.

When clicking on the Add to Method icon in Outlook on a sent mail I get the following message:
"Value cannot be null. Parameter name: uniString" with the only option a white x in the top right or OK. both behave the same.
After up updating to SP1 for Office 2010 I got a "serious" error with Method Outlook ...

The contact record does not appear to be misssing anything critical.
What is the uriString?
