If this happening on a standard screen? If so what screen is it? If you edit that screen what is action 48?(based on the error I think its the Send Email action). Are you able to send any other emails through Method?

Hi Birch,
This is pretty simple to accomplish. You'll need to add RefNumber as a new field to your InvoiceLine table. This new field will be a linked field that is linked via the Invoice table RecordID.

Hi Tim - unfortunately we're not a custom dev shop, so we wouldn't be able to take the project on.

Guys - your team must have solved a problem I cannot resolve. Getting the QB COM event handler to register properly on Vista and Win7 machines.
