What you need to do before going into the screen edit, go to Customize-->Tables.  Edit the table to which you want to add the linked field.  The wizard will prompt you as to how to add the field. Hope that helps!

Hi Ian, I am going to suggest you take a look at Customize > Display for a little surprise . You should see a box for Default Currency Symbol just enter in $ if it’s not already in there and all your customers will see the $ symbol when the look at any screen in Method. -Michael
