Thank you for finding this. You are correct, this field should be optional for portals. It is only required for Email opt-outs (a new feature which BTW is pretty cool - read about it here http://www.methodintegration.com/method/kb.aspx?folder=methodcrm&id=165).

Selwyn - thanks for the heads up. You are correct, it should read "xml version". I have edited the post above. Weird, I checked the gadget that I used to post the steps and it actually had "xml version" in it. So I'm going to point fingers and lay blame on the forum software! :)

Aaron - if you were hitting "web3" on that page, then it explains it.
Just so you know what I'm talking about, everyone who uses Method is diverted to a batch of web servers that split up the traffic. It looks like right now web3 is taking an unusually large load, causing it to crawl.

Ahh - gotcha. Okay.....I know what you want. I also know what we are working on.....and you've going to have to hold tight for a while unfortuantely. But something is coming later this year that will blow off the roof in this regard and much more....
