Denis,
so you are saying that I need to install the method engine on my server even though that is where the database file is located? All the server does is host the file, it does not access it.
My understanding was that the method engine only needs to be installed on a computer that is going to be opening the file and using it, ie where the ...

Hi handcrafted,
Method installs along side any Quickbooks insallation you may have; so you must install Method on the main "QB" server, as well as any additional computers that run QB. Method will run in "listen only" mode on the additional machines. Quite simply, if changes are made in QB, there needs to be Method beside it ...

Happy Holidays!
Unfortunately we do not know who precisely uses Exchange 2007 with our software as all Method does is store some SMTP authentication settings. But we welcome any kind souls out there who come across this post to share information regarding setting up Exchange and Method.

Merry Chrstmas All,
I am new and am setting up my QB sync for the first time. Two questions:
Since I am running my QB database on a server, do I install the method sync engine on the server or on each client desktop?

I will take this back to my IT dept and discuss. We probably wont get to this until after Christmas. I will let you know how it turns out.

'Tis the season! It’s Christmas Eve, the spirit of the season is at its peak, and the malls are jam packed with last-minute shoppers (hopefully none of you will be one of them!). The Method Team is excited to spend time with family and friends as we celebrate the holidays.
With that said, I’d like to mention we will ...

Hi Suzanne,
Regarding your question, I wanted to confirm what behavior you are seeing. If you simply create a blank screen with a button and assign a "go to tab link" action to it and specify an abritrary tab link, it takes you to that tab link when clicked, and displays the correct one above (just tried it out and it works correctly). ...

Below is a version of ‘A night before Christmas’ that Dave, Method developer sent around internally today. It was so good that we had to share it to the full Method community. Excuse the many inside jokes!
‘Twas the night before xmas, and all through Method
Not a server was down not even exchange
A ...

Hey Matt,
I wanted to give you an update that we have resolved the 404 issue you were getting sporadically.
One of the webservers was not playing nice, however, you shouldnt see the likes of it again.
Cheers,
Richard
