James, thank you for jumping in - you hit that one right on the head :)
Shelley, James is right in his explanation. There is no way to modify the type of field once it has been created. You would have to add new fields. Keep in mind if you would like to reuse the same field names then you would first have to delete the existing fields and then ...

Shelley,
Also, I cannot change the data type of the additional fields I have added in Method (Not QB Custom Fields). I can change the field length, but not the data type. There does appear to be a drop down arrow indicating this widget might allow changes, but no luck getting it to work.
About your Custom Screen. I would think ...

Yes, the toolkits, libraries, and all the other technology layers that make for rapid development also introduce complexity and occasionally unpredictable behaviour. But, what would software cost if it was all written from scratch in C? A certain allowance for behaviour that is out of the direct control of the developer is necessary for ...

Paul, thank you! Yes, you are on the right track. I do not have HTML experience, nor much Method customization experience YET. I do believe your suggestion will resolve the issues and I will speak to Danny about the solution. Thanks again!

Hey Judy - good to hear from you again.
Hmm......so there's two things you'd want to send in this case (1) a report turned into a PDF as an attachment; (2) and an Estimate or Invoice as the email body (in HTML).
So, yes, this is *absolutely possible* with customization.
Attaching an PDF to an email is ...

Ho do I update the Outlook plugin to v 2.1.34. I have 2.0 installed already but can't find where to download the latest version. Also if I click on setup, it does not give me the option to upgrade to the latest version.

Ryan told me how to do this and I cannot remember. I am trying to get rid of all (or most) of the search boxes and just use column headings. I recall that it had something to do with customizing something called "entity" and it was relatively convoluted. How do I find this again?

Thank you, Paul, for the useful information and pointing us in the right direction. We have a client- brand new user and our first Method client- that has to e-mail Estimates immediately after receiving the phone order and wants to e-mail the Estimate or Invoice, and attach a PDF of the details of what the customer is ordering. I just ...

Just to add to Ryan's post. This is not a *Standard* feature in Method's invoice screen. It is something you can pretty easily add yourself, though, via customization. Method does support creating and emailing PDFs - we just haven't made it standard on the invoice screen yet.

Hey Kelly,
This is something that currently cannot be done in Method. We do have the checkbox "To be emailed" because this is the same field you would see in QuickBooks. If you use this field, then you can go into QuickBooks and send all your invoices/estimates as a batch.
