It is better to use the MethodApiAppointment_InsertDate call as you only have to worry about the Series record id and the start and stop times of the service. All the other information, such as Recurrence Type, is handled for you.

Keith, reports imported from QuickBooks into Method are generated into HTML pages. As a result, no drill downs can be performed.
With regards to your question if Method carry enough data to reconstruct a report from scratch; we are able to create reports based on what's available to us via the SDK provided by Intuit.

We have updated the screen now to only have a "Save Settings" button. I just tested it by unchecking Apply Daylight Savings Time and it successfully updated the page once I logged out and logged back in.

So once you have done the initial installation of Method with the Admin account, then yes your idea should work fine. The Admin account is only needed for the initial install.

Hi Keith,
No, you don't have to create those reports from scratch. You can import reports from Quick Books by going to the QuickBooks tab > Scheduled Reports. Once you have set up your reports you would be able to view them in Reports under the Home tab.

If you want the live syncing that Method offers, then you need to have QB open and logged in. You can shut down QB if you would like but then you would lose out on the live syncing. Whenever your main computer (server) logs back into QB, the sync would start again. You don’t need to be the Admin in order to get the live updates. ...

I was able to replicate what you experienced when I clicked the 'Save settings' button and we are currently looking into this. In the meanwhile, try clicking on only the 'Save DST' and see if that works. I'll keep you posted.
