I have an activity grid that shows me all the completed activities for a particular customer. How can I create a filter that will only show me the completed activities for the current year, without editing the filter every year

I am encountering this same issue when making an  app ribbon for my custom app, also joining the customer field to the Entity field on the Contacts table. Is there any update on this?

Before the update on Dec 9, when a drop down field was clicked to open you could begin typing immediately to search. Now you need to click the search box before you can type which is a huge productivity issue. Is there an ETA on this?
