• Re: Placing fields in the customizing screen

Hi Meghan, According to the link Michael supplied in one of the above posts, this issue has been resolved. We have noticed some cache issues from time to time with Chrome, if you have already tried signing out of Method, and closing/opening your browser again and that didn't work, you might try clearing your browsers cache. ...

  • Re: Considering Method CRM

Hi Here4Real, Thank you for posting to the Method Forums. Obviously we as Method employees aren't going to post our thoughts and feelings about using Method, as we might be slightly biased, so I am hoping you do get some feedback here from other Method Users. I do however think this link might be informative to ...

  • Re: Add IsSMS checkbox field to all Phones

Hi kenlyle, Sorry for the delayed response, I was under the weather yesterday -- but you are right! Unfortunately, because Phone, AltPhone etc. are all seperate fields, you would have to create a separate field for each of those as you mentioned. Naeem

  • Re: Complex Queries for a Report

Hey kenlyle, Have you worked with our report designer yet? If you go into the report creating action, it will allow you to launch the report designer. The report designer builds off of the customer table, and has other tables as "detail" tables -- i.e the invoice table, contacts, etc. It sounds to me like all of the things you're ...

  • Re: Add IsSMS checkbox field to all Phones

Hey kenlyle, The phone numbers are indeed normalized into the "Entity" table -- thus, if you go to the "Entity" table (click on Customize > Tables/Fields > Entity > Edit Fields) and add a new field named "IsSMS" (with the necessary field details), you will be able to reference the IsSMS dropdown in any ...

  • Re: Restricting access

Hi Fred, So, there's a few things you can do to restrict your access to that tab. The most basic option you have to prevent viewing of that information, you can restrict viewing of that tab by roles. To do this, go to Customize > Tabs, and click "edit" beside the Quickbooks Home tablink. There, beside the ...

  • Re: Restricting access

Hi Fred, Thanks for joining Method! To address your first question, the G/L accounts are native to Quickbooks and don't show up anywhere on Method. As for your latter question, unfortunately there isn't any way to stop syncing certain customers to QB unfortunately, because the sync feature is such a critical part of the system. ...

  • Re: Website Links

Hey Dustin, Fields accept HTML input, so you can add a link using HTML. You can read here about the "a" tag which allows you to create a web link. The simple explanation is, if you want to make something in your description a clickable link, you have to wrap it with "<a href='url'></a>" tags. ...

  • Re: Help Hover Tip

Hi Ben, The hover tips accept HTML formatting. We don't have a markup guide on our help center for this yet, but you can visit this url for a cheat sheet of common HTML tags. The most important tag for you is probably "<br>" which allows you to create a line break, or "<p></p>" which ...
