Where Method’s error messages normally explain errors that have occurred while importing or calling API endpoints, you may be receiving the following generic message:
The API could not validate your log in. Please make sure you have entered the correct Company Account, User and Password, and that each are spelt correctly. Also, ensure that ...

Hi Don,
You will see this error message when the record you are trying to enter has the exact matching Name to one already in your account. The "Name" helps identify a particular record in your account and because it is/eventually will sync to QuickBooks, we follow QuickBooks' rules and require it to be unique. To fix the error ...

Hi John,
By any chance are you using Google Chrome when you get this timeout while importing? This is a known bug for Method in Chrome, sometimes, when you do an import, the progress bar won't budge, however if you wait long enough, the records do get imported, this sounds like what you are describing.
Our development team is working ...

The only other ...

Hi Bob,
You have several options available to you.
Option one: is to use the Sample Excel API Tool. Click for more information and a video.
Option two: is actually found right within your Method account. Click Customize>>Integration Tools. You will see the Import / Export feature (currently in beta). Follow the instructions on the ...

Hi Lance,
Sorry for the late reply. This is a known issue with the progress bar. I recommend only importing 500 records at a time, as the progress bar and the import tool work best around that number. In the future, if you can limit the import to 500 or less, you should see it run much smoother.

Paul,
I am trying to do this. But on the Import data screen, item # 2 says to "Pick a Table." I'm in Customize/Integration Tools/Import/Export Menu.
I don't see "2. Set Options". Set "Update existing records by matching the key fields" to be checked" anywhere.
Can you ...
