• Re: Editing a lead error

Hi theavspecialist, Leads don't sync to QuickBooks so I'm not sure why you're receiving this message. Are you sure this lead hasn't been converted into a Customer? Even so you should be able to edit just the email address without receiving a conditional warning. Try this, go to Customize > Tables/Fields > click on the ...

  • Re: Taxes on Grouped Items

Just to confirm, when you create an Invoice in QB with a Group Item and save, the tax code is overwritten with the correct one? when the invoice is created there? But when the invoice is created in Method is when the tax code is not overwritten for the Group Item? - Ashur

  • Re: Email documentation

Take a look at my example for the Send Email option. You'll notice when you click the Email To: dropdown list you're presented with 6 different choices. Here's a rundown of those choices. Type In - This one is pretty self explanitory; just type in what you want and this will be "hardcoded" to this specific ...

  • Adding address info to List Builder

We received the following question from Angie:
Can we include Contacts' address information in the List Builder so we can export the list and mail them cards?
Hi Angie, Yes this can be done through customization. You would first need to make a copy of the stock CRM_ListBuilder screen, then edit the ListBuilder grid and add the ...

  • Re: Taxes on Grouped Items

Are you using the Canadian edition of QuickBooks by any chance? The reason I ask is because the QuickBooks SDK is very picky for QB Canada (and I'm assuming other International versions) when it comes to this. I don't remember all the rules around it but QB Canada has different rules then QB USA. What I mean by that is ...

  • Re: Taxes on Grouped Items

Apologies, please disregard my last post it wasn't meant to be posted here, multi-tasking gone wrong So from what I understand you have a custom tax group setup called "G" for your Group Items and when the transaction is synced to QB you'll need to correct it manually? - Ashur

  • Re: Taxes on Grouped Items

Hi MikeB, I believe there is a limitation with Group Items when it comes to the QB SDK. It only supports new additions, but not modifications, which means you can add a new group with items but once its added you cannot edit it through Method CRM. - Ashur

  • Migrating from NetSuite

We received the following question from Robert by email.
My question is about importing more than three Contacts per Customer. We've tried to import Customers to the Customer table and Contacts to the Contacts table but saw no primary/foreign key in which to join them. In the customer table we see a place to put in three contacts, but ...

  • Re: Email documentation

Hi theavspecialist, We don't have any documents detailing different ways of sending emails from Method, however you can utilize the Send Email action. In order to type in HTML you would need to enable the Show in HTML editor option for the textbox field/object you'll be using. If you want to send the recipient contact details you can ...

  • Re: Are checkboxes a valid field?

Yup you're getting it now! Just to be streamlined I would say type the Yes/No words with a capitalized first letter. Yes you can add a separate Yes/No field for each division to your Customer table. Just remember that you will then need to create copies of your Customer/Lead screens in order to be able to use your new custom fields. - Ashur
