I'm coming in late here, but to me I think what you want is totally possible.
I tried on my side to create a sales order, on a standard sales order screen, with 2 lines, one that had an item and description and one that only had a description. This worked for me.
I tried on my side to print preview this using the standard sales ...

Sorry for the delay.
All dropdowns have their values stored in a separate lookup table.
So you need to insert values into that lookup table first before inserting the record into your main table.

I feel what you are planning *should* work fine in theory. We've never tried it ourselves, so that's why I say "theory"!
Lead status does exist for employees, the same way it does for customers and vendors. Also, the web forms were made to handle generic scenarios like this, rather than be limited to ...

I'm sorry to hear your experience. The last thing we want is for you to have a bad experience, especially in front of a customer.

We'll get that redirect in there shortly, so that nobody has to think or remember - it'll just do it for you automatically.
Okay, back to work on the gmail ...

Ahh. That explains it.
Regular live production sites have a "/method/" URL.
The new, up and coming, optional site is the "stage" site, at a "/stage/" URL.
You are using the /stage/ site URL in the login. Your customers should always be given a /method/ URL.
The stage site is not always guaranteed to be ...

Mark - can you private message me your old URL and new URL? I can run some back-end decryption on it to see what the old ID was referring to versus the new one.
We weren't down last night, no server alerts, and no maintenance....what was the exact message you saw?

Yeah, that's what I meant by "we're working towards....".
The platform supports it. The CRM app, however, doesn't.
The standard screens need to be updated to support this new feature. Reason being, they need to specify the contact id, otherwise it doesn't know which email address to put in. ...
