Right. I didn't mention I've already changed the table by removing the Required flag for these fields in addition to removing the other validation actions around these dates.
Although it's not clear at this time how we plan to use the WO calendar, I'd rather one didn't show up on there just yet. Once a WO has a start or ...

I'm customizing the Field Service Work Order screens to work for my business. Regarding Work Orders, I don't require that Date Start/End have a value. So I'm killing off all the actions around these field validations.
For some reason, there's still some page load action on the FieldService AddEditWorkOrder screen that is firing 2 ...

We usually get an order from a salesman, then split up work orders based on the type of work...I think I'm gonna customize our Sales Order actually, and add checkboxes at the line item level to create work orders. Don't know if it's gonna work, but I'll try it.

Thanks Mark

Thanks Mark...
I've been approaching this from a DIY standpoint. When you say 'some of this functionality' can you elaborate a bit (not looking for all the details here, of course) on the solutions you provided?

Thanks Michael...
I had not looked at Field Services yet...I'm reading about it now. It seems like the method of working in Field Services might work for how we currently operation.
Right now, salesmen write up actual carbon copy orders about 60 days out from delivery based on the afore mentioned 'programs' they set up for each ...
