Dropdowns are sorted alphanumerically and unfortunately, you cannot specify otherwise.
Depending on how you setup the filter you can try using the Build selection list option.

Specific to Cases the Case# is populated by the RecordID. The RecordID will always go sequential, (1, 2, 3,) we cannot adjust that.
Alternativally we can add a field to the Cases Table (e.g. RefNumber) in which we can control the # order.
You can look at how it works on the stock Activities Tab within the NewActivity screen. Take a look at ...

Welcome to the Forums.
There is no on screen field that will let you input a location. You can either leave the screen stock and add location information within the Activity comments.
Or if you wanted an explicit field on the Activity screen that will allow you to input a location you can accomplish that using customization.

To capture on screen fields onto a report you must first add that field to the Table.
