Dear Method Integration,
I think I found the cause of this problem. Please put this question on hold until I have a chance to check into it. I will post a follow up with what I find out. and let you know if I still need Method to check into it or not. Thanks.

I created a new field in Method called "Serial Number" and populated it. I added this field and data to the Sales Order (SO) screen. The field and data appears ok on the SO screen (see attachment1), and the data appears ok in the Sales Order List table (attachment2).
But once I synced to QB, the data ...

Thanks Valbon, very helpful.
I ran into another problem after creating new custom field in Method and entered data. The data disappeared from Mehtod after the sync. I'll post it as a new question.

3 related questions:
1. Do custom fields created in Method and the data that is populated into those custom fields sync with QB and feed the data from Method to QB?
2 . If I create custom fields in QB, will those custom fields automatically get created in Method, or do I also need to create the same custom fields ...

Paul,
Q1. We may not be talking about the same thing, let me explain better.
I am familar with the ItemInventoryAssembly screen and API to add a new item and parts. Such as "Bicycle Model 2000". What I am asking about is the process to Build say 1000 of these bicycles. Qb has ...

1. Does Method offer screens or APIs to build ItemInventoryAssembly (IIA) items, similar to QB?
Example if there is an IIA item "Bicycle Model 3000", in QB Build Assembly user can build 100 of these bicycles which will add to the "On Hand" count of these bicycles in ...

Paul,
I agree and I am using Method API to access data in Method and push data into Method directly from my web apps. I came upon one situation in ItemInventoryAssembly (IIA) where if I make edit changes such as add new parts to an IIA item, the changes do not sync to QB. Apparently the IIA edit changes and ...

Hi Paul,
Info On The Web (IOTW) is working on several web and mobile custom QB solutions, one of them is adding add'l capabilties to ItemInventoryAssembly (IIA). Until you mentioned it in your last message, I and other QB Consultants I've been working with did not know QB already had that IIA/Duplicate option. Now ...

Paul,
Thanks for the reply and info.
The purpose of an API is to enable developers to perform functions without having to manually log in. Requiring manual login into Method before this API can run appears to me it defeats the whole purpose of the efficiency of APIs. Please explain why you decided to ...

Paul,
Yes I mean ItemInventoryAssembly. I just call it BuildAssembly (BA) for short.
Thanks for the reply that Method does not have BA Copy/SaveAs, and QB does not have that feature either.
Its common for QB users to have a BA item with 200+ parts. If they need a similar BA Item but just ...
