Unfortunately I don't believe there is a way to change the format of the DatePicker object. What you could do, however, is have a read only text field next to the picker that is updated by a DateChanged action in the picker. It isn't pretty but it would do what you are after.

If the buttons are the only thing on the last row or at least the cell next to them is empty then following the steps above will keep them all in the same cell ie. next to each other. It will effectively merge the two cells into one which should allow all 5 buttons to be shown on one line.
