Thanks for elaborating the steps.
Using stock Bill/PO screen I tried the process about ~15times. Using Chrome Version 45.0.2454.85 (64-bit).
I did not get that issues as you described. It's hard to pinpoint where the error lies.
I don't believe it falls under customization because it works correctly about 90-95% ...

I'm not able to replicate that issue, for me it goes right into Method:New > View Activity screen.
Try clicking the link again in an Incognito window just to confirm it's not a Browser issue.

I was able to retrieve the correct Record_ID for the related Activities.
In my example, I'm working with Last Activity.

I want to set up a simple grid that shows a list of customers and the YTD sales for each. I also want a column that is 4% of the YTD sales.

Hey Mahlon,
If the Company Account is toggled for Method:New, it will automatically go right into Method:New for Activities.
Is it not working like that in your case?
