Hi Dan,
The QBO Location field is actually located on the individual transaction tables, not on the Customer table. It’s a stand-alone field that is set individually on each transaction independent of the customer record. As such, you’re going to have difficulty using this field for the workflow you described.
If you’re going ...

Hi Marcelo,
The reason why you're having that problem is because you are relating a table to itself. The two tables you are working with are actually the same table. The exception being is that it's just different views of the same table.
The best alternate you have is to add a new text field to the table, add a ...

Hi VLocke,
As long as you are creating the table and fields from within Method, you shouldn't have to worry about this new table (let's call it "Customer2") syncing with QuickBooks. Method isn't able to create fields/tables and have them sent to QuickBooks. The only time this is even remotely possible is ...

Greg,
It seems you do understand what I'm doing with my drop down. If I'm not clear I apologize. What I meant to convay was that everything is working as far as my screen updating fields in the "CustomrEquipment" table upon adding a new or editing an existing record from my screen. The issue has been ...

Michael,
I took the basic estimate report and started editing off of that format. The summarization is of line item prices, it is a subtotal. The
tables that the original estimate work off of are the Company, Estimate, and EstimateLine, so those are that ones that I am using. It
seems like everything should be set up correctly to begin with ...

Seny,
You've probably solved this by now, but you might have picked up the field "Customer" in your Method tables if you've created a custom field in Quickbooks. Method will pull in some of the custom fields for you when it synch's. I think I have seen Method rename these fields if they are duplicates if they ...

Valbon,
It definitely helps to know that if I add a field to the Customer table it will appear in the Entity table. Initially, I could not find some of the custom fields that I added to one of the tables (can't remember which is which) in a screen based on a table with "shared" fields. I am wondering if some of the ...

Thanks again Amanda.
"...If you can tell me what you are trying to do then we can guide you in the right directions..."
Curiosity was all this was,
I
wasn't trying to accomplish anything in particular with this table. I
am merely attempting to gain a deeper understanding of how method works
and how each piece (from entire ...

Amanda.. I do have another question about the reports, Is there a way to drill-down in the reports like there is in QB. Like from an account to the transactions?
Also if this is not possible, does methods carry enought QB data to reconstruct a report from scratch. Are beginning and ending balances carried in the methods tables. Is this even ...

Well... The original report was and still is the sample estimate report. I changed the logo and added some labeled text. From that I created (copied/saved as) a new report (Proposal-Sprinkler). Made additional changes to the text and it still works fine.
I then tried to create (save as) the Proposal-Sprinkler report to ...
