Method Community

I wanted to try to use the Method web service to generate reports in MS Access 2010 or 2013.  I was wondering where to find the connection definition file I would need for Method and any pointers or additional information that might be helpful in getting started. Thanks, Mike

When we orginaly signed up in 2010 it was through Qxpress online. So we currently have a Qxpress account with Method. I don't understand or really care what happened between Qxpress/Method I just want to make sure I get the latest Method updates and BETA when it is released.

QB will need to upgrade your file so it is good practice to make a backup before upgrading, whether or not you use Method. What are the steps to take re: Method when upgrading our QuickBooks desktop software? Is it as easy as popping in disk and upgrading QB or is there more to it? I'm looking to do this ASAP. Thank You

Hi Alex, I’m unsure of the exact logic involved, but the Optimize Fields option returns only necessary data from the tables needed by the action and the report vs. all the data from the tables.
