You may be experiencing a delay in Google Calendar auto-sync. This will be restored to normal shortly.  Thanks for your patience.

When viewing the contact, click edit entity. Then delete the entity. It takes you to the contact list, and leaves the View Contact screen open with only the contact displayed.
