I am trying to get a loop to work filtered from a date field. It used to work.

I’m not sure of the exact limit, but it’s somewhere around 7000 characters. If you need something larger, you can use a hidden textbox object on screen for building and storing your list. Ever since the release this morning I'm having all kinds of issues with Method NEW. Actions seem buggy...custom screens that used to work not working.
Is anyone else having issues?
