Update:
Received news that the Sync Engine should now be back up and running.
Please verify by completly closing down the engine (that includes confirming there are no running proccesses of the runtime in your Task Manager) and reopening.
Please follow up with the outcome.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles!
When the sync engine logs out - are you seeing any errors display in Windows? Is QuickBooks shutting down at all?
You may just need to reinstall the sync engine to get this working again - You can find the complete Uninstall Steps in This Help Centre Article

Hey LorPete,
To finish what you did, do the follow;
1. Open the file in QB
2. Open the Method Sync Engine, click connect
Once this sync is finished, Method should populate the QuickBooks tab with the correct company name.
If you are still having problems, please contact your Business Consultant and get this corrected.

Method is not an accounting platform. It is a customizable CRM that integrates with the QuickBooks accounting platform. If you avoid doing anything accounting related in Method, then I don't see any reason that you should run into issues should you stop using QuickBooks.
