  • Re: Activity emails from users

Hi Mike, Each user can change the default email server.  This is found the in the profile section at the top right of the screen. For the "on behalf of", this is something that has to do with your email server.  The "on behalf of" is part of a verification process to avoid spam. Some email clients will add this to ...

  • Re: Email within Activities not working properly

Hi wildlife, The reason your invoice template can't send through the activity screen is because the fields in the invoice don't correspond to the activity screen's mail merge fields. You can learn more about the mail merge here. The only fields you can plug in to the template are fields that are accessible in that screen -- in a ...

  • Portal payment email

This question came in from Paul: Wondering if you could help answer this.  Everytime someone pays their bill online, my boss gets an email.  I've tried going to all of the settings to change it to me instead of her but I can't find it. Hi Paul, The actions on the screen look for an email in the BCC section of the template. ...

This question came in via email from Justin, I have a question regarding the capabilities of the Gmail gadget.  I have an internal email (with another employee) regarding a customer.  I would like to track the email to the customer in Method.  Is there a way to do that without permanently associating the employee with the Customer ...
  • Trying to send an email from Method

I am trying to create an activity that sends an email from method. I have filled out the server name, username, and password in My Account. I have doublechecked that data and am sure it is correct. I then created an activity, clicked on the email tab, and entered my own email address in both the to and from fields. I created a test email, clicked ...

  • Re: Sending method invoice (API)

Hello, Creating an invoice and generating a portal link is perfectly possible through the API.  You first have to create the invoice, and line items, then call send to desktop, and finally generate a portal link. I've attached a code sample which does this below for a simple invoice var MAPIsvc = new MethodAPIService.Service(); ...

  • Re: Mass emails using Activites?

[quote user="Method_Michael"] You would have to do some customization but you could use something like the List Builder (Campaigns > List Builder) and modify it to build a list based on the renewal date. With the list builder you can send out an email and for each email sent out create an activity for the customer to make note that ...

  • Re: Not able to email

Hi Ben, thanks for the reply. However, about an hour after I sent in this request, all of my test emails started flowing. So, they were hung on your end. Something happened, not sure what it was, but I started getting test estimates emailed to me about 2 hours after I submitted them. So, I am good for now. Bryan

  • Re: Email body

Hi Marcelo,  The email body textbox can be made larger through some simple customization. When you're editing the screen look for the Body textbox object. Click edit on this object and you should find Number of input lines within the advanced options. Hope this helps!  -Jason
