ok makes sense, was just wanting it to show for me when I was logged in. I assumed (something you should never do) if I was logged in it would know I was an admin. I like your idea though Ill probably use it. thanks

no thats how I get the buttons to show. When I click hide the buttons appear, when I click show the normal things on that section appear. I ended up redoing the screen, but am finding lots of strange things happening as I create these screens. So am creating some portals for users to login to access info and if I log in I want to show some extra tags if its me an administrator. On the tab links screen I can assign roles that can see certain tags I just have administrator set for the tags I need but any portal user is still able to see those tags. i was using chrome and also tried firefox. I thought we were supposed to stay way clear of IE. Anyhow I get the same issue in IE. But I found my buttons but this is crazy strange by hiding the section the buttons were on the buttons appeared on my edit screen?!?! Not sure what is going on with that.
