Could it be that you are not filtering the grid by Activity Type = Work Order so that it only shows Work Orders?
The Work Order grid has some filters on it already so it could be that these records are not meeting any of the filters so are not showing on the standard WO grid.

I will have to look into this further but I believe this is a limitation of the QuickBooks SDK. If it is limitation of the SDK you could probably get similar results through actions but it won't flow exactly like QB.

Method does some basic validation of the info entered before passing it to the payment gateway and gateway does the rest of the validation.
In regards to AVS read this.

Are you maybe cancelling the Work Orders instead of actually deleting them? If thats the case you can apply a filter to the grid to not show any Work Orders(Activities) with an Activity Status of 'Cancelled'

JKM@SA,
What table is the grid based off of? If the record is deleted it should not show up in the grid.

This feature only works with the New CRM screens, and is built into the Grid and Drop down filters. You could install the new CRM and reverse engineer the filters on the new screens and apply them to the old screens.
