I don't want to create a new field so can someone please walk me through the steps of putting the website field onto the entity table so that it can flow through lead and customer.

Hi Matt,
The Invoice and ReceivePayment tables are already linked to the Customer table. You should be able to add app ribbon items for those apps and see them on your custom screen. Is this not the case?

That sounds like it would work. If you add that action on a Lose Focus event when you click somewhere else or tab away from the field it should copy the value across. Let me know how you get on.
