But, I think you said you could save the file, it was just missing some information?  Which could point to the Method report generator?  I really haven't done a good job of digesting all the behaviour you reported and I"m shooting from the hip trying to recollect problems I've had before.

Hi Mahlon, I was able to replicate this issue using a long string of characters which were uninterrupted by a whitespace. I've opened a ticket with our development team and will post back here once this is resolved. - Justin

Lance, There might be some really good reasons why Method auto indexes ref numbers in the way it does since QB does some weird things with automatic indexing of ref numbers.  For example Quickbooks uses the same ref number index for Invoices and Credit Memo's.  So, for example if we add some alpha characters to the Credit Memo ...
