I know how to filter the grid to get the work orders that I want, it is when I have all the work orders instead of using the check box and going page by page (approx 2000 work orders) maybe it is an easy way to do it.

Do the work orders have to meet any specific criteria to be eligible for invoicing such as status of Completed or certain number of days old?

You do have to create new tags using the interface on the Edit Contacts screen. There is no other way of creating a tag. Once you have your new tags you can use the Integration Tools to import tags to other records. Check out this forum post that explains the process. The taglist field is a ...

I take it you mean import a list of tags rather than importing tags with a contact? As I understand it, the only way to add tags is through the popup when adding or editing a contact.

I kept it quite simple but if you choose you can add a bit more complexity to it. I added a new table called 'Industry' with one field called 'Name'. I made this field unique as I wouldn't want multiple versions of an Industry clogging up the list.
