i don't see a way to exit the screen customization screen without "save & close"...if i click on a new tab and then go back to customize it returns to the last customization i was working on.  how to i close the edit screen without saving my changes? thanks,

 If you have space in the field name, and you click on Add field as dropdown, It does show message and If you close this message and then you try to hit "next" nothing happens. Try it and let me know if it gives you same message or not. -Inder

Lance, There may be more, but the main calculation that takes place is updating the amount field with Qty X Cost(Rate) + Markup. I believe this takes place to prevent a situation where cost X qty doesn't equal the total. What are you trying to accomplish that is causing problems?
