I made a copy of the the stock View Contact screen and added a button that inserts an activity that includes the Entity - RecordID as shown below. The activity gets added but the entity field does not get populated.

When using the retrieve value fromt table action and selecting the option to get the sum the value is set to blank if there are no records that meet the condition. The value should be set to 0.

You could also have the actions that send the email run on the page load of the first screen that opens in Method. That way noone would have to click a button, it would check and send as necessary every time someone logs into Method. When adding a contact from a customer screen I would think that this would auto fill from the existing customer, having to reselect the customer from a drop down screen is to much work and possible mistake.
I do like the option of adding a new Vendor or customer/ lead from this screen.

We really need Attachment Location in the send email action. I have clients that really need this as they do not want to have someone need to follow a portal link to get to a simple document.
I've been told this is on the roadmap, but if you're using beta you need to be aware of this limitation.
