As I work with the designer there is an area that I think is a bit counter productive.
On a section you check a box to show header/title bar
On a grid you check the box to hide the caption.
It would be nice if these would be the same.

I have tested it on my account and it seems to be working fine. I did exactly as you mentioned in your post. I added a new grid view filter Today and enter the value as you mentioned and it gave me the desired result. Even with the date picker it gave me the right value. Here's my answer. Each Method App can use permission rights to control the user experience. Access,View, Customize and Manage are default and required rights that each app has. You may also enhance your app with additional rights like Edit, Create Delete and Aprrove.

I'm trying to figure out how to search for Activities "Between" dates?
For example all the activities for last week...
There is no option for between and only an option for Or.

In addition, the change event is triggering when the pop up calendar displays, NOT when you click the calender to select a new date.
This makes using actions on a date picker almost useless.
