Can you sync custom fields between Quickbooks Online and Method, or can the custom fields only exist in one or the other linked to the record (i.e. Customer)?

I am working on customizing the customer layout, adding fields that don't exist so I can import my data.  I ran in to a few fields that claim to already exist, but are not found in the field list nor available to add to a layout.  My prime example is AccountNumber in the Customer table.  Does it exist somewhere I can use ...
