  • Re: MethodAPI v1.1 update - ability to add new tables and fields

Hey Matt, We checked into it further using the reserved word "Day", and have put more validation in.  We have tried using the latest API on it, and everything seems good now, and you properly get back the warning about the reserved word, and it causes no havoc this time.  Do you want to check your database on your end and ...

I was able to reproduce this error again. Here is what I did: I created a new table I created a new field in that table (however, unbeknownst to me the field name that I tried to use is a reserved word and therefore was not able to be added. • Re: new database and tables

Hey Phillip, As long as you have a field on the table for the information your importing, then I don’t see any problems that you would have. Also make sure those fields exist on the Excel API. As long as you have all that in order, you should be fine.

  • Re: Linking two custom tables

Hi SavageJim, You need to create an association between the tables before you can use the 'Add a Linked Field' option. So for instance, you have Table A and Table B, you then have to figure out something unique that links the two tables. For example, you can add a dropdown field to Table A, 'Full Name' that contains ...

  • Re: Relating tables in Method

Hi Nebo, Sorry for the late reply.  I believe there might be something coded in the Contacts table to prevent adding a unique field.  The reason I say this is while this isn't a directly connected QuickBooks table, it will update and add the main contact for any new customer created in QuickBooks.  Since QuickBooks wouldn't ...

Also went to field service Customize > Tables/Fields > Activity. Select "Add a Linked Field", but there is no Link to ...
