Any update on this? The problem is still happening in Feb. version and it's a pain to switch to Oct version when I need to use this feature (twice this AM).

It should be possible. The invoice table holds an AppliedAmount and Terms field. The AppliedAmount holds the Receive Payments that have been put towards an invoice.
