It sounds like you are referring to Multi-Tenancy. To answer your questions:
1 - Yes, this feature is still available
2 - Method Pro is required to use Multi-Tenancy
3 - Yes, I believe it works with QBO.

I was not able to reproduce this. Can you provide a screenshot of the error message so we can get the Error Reference code. Also, what are you clicking when the error appears?

In the PageHeader section of your report you can add a label that can be configured to show the count of work orders. Have a look at this video tutorial then follow these quick steps and you should be able to hit the ground running.
