Mobile errors on iPad

    Mobile errors on iPad

    Logging into the mobile environment on an iPad I now get the following pop-up error window (this is happening for the first time):

    https://methodintegration.com Reference Error: Can't find variable:WebForm_InitCallbackAddField

    After pressing OK, I'm taken to my mobile screens, which seem to work fine, but below the screen selector drop-down I see the following text:

    "en" name="__VIESSTATE"id="__VIEWSTATE" value="/wEPDwUBMGQYAQUeX19Db250cm9sc1JlcXVpcmVQb3N0QmFja0tleV9fFgIFDGNoazQ2Mjl1MzY5NgUNY2hrMTg5MzY1ODc1Mhw9zfrco6T/OX719N+34D5KPHbA"/>

    Again, this has never happened before and I'm looking to host a meeting from the iPad to demo the mobile environment, and it looks bad if errors arise.

    I did a quick test aand this seems to happen when I share the screen in the GoToMeeting environment. Regulat login to the Method screens does not produce these errors.

    Hi Mike,

    We were unable to replicate this issue on our end, what is the first screen your user see's when logging in? Is it a stock or custom screen? If it's a stock screen please enable your MethodSupport user then email me your Company Account name. Customize > Users > scroll down and click the Active checkbox for the MethodSupport user to turn it on.

    If this is a custom screen then check your OnScreenLoad actions, you will need to look for the variable being referenced.

    They're custom screens, but this only happens when trying to loginto and share the screen in a GoToMeeting environment hosted from the iPad. 

    As I said, regular login works fine.

    But now in the GoToMeeting environment, I get the error message after changing to each screen, and then I get stuck where I choose a screen (eg. Leads) and it never loads or the current screen is unresponsive. Earlier, I was able to do a mock sales order and it worked, but now when I navigate to that screen, pressing the "New Sales Order" button results in nothing happening.

    This seems to be random (which is a bit unnerving).

    I just rebooted the iPad and relaunched a new meeting and navigated to the login (instead of pasting a URL) and everything seemed to work OK.

    For future reference make sure you're using the mobile sign-in URL as we don't support using non-mobile screens on mobile devices: https://www.methodintegration.com/method/mobile.aspx

    It's a possibility that this may have been caused by a weird caching error and rebooting your iPad cleared it.

    I was using the mobile sign in URL. But the first time I pasted it in from the browser, whereas the second time I went to methodintegration.com and navigated to the mobile screen.

    I think it' wass a weird cache thing as well...

    Actually it was likely the copy and paste that caused it. You should always use the login form instead of copying the URL when logged in then pasting it later on as that URL contains specific information about the currently logged in session.
