    Editing a lead error

I have created some yes/no field information such as IsHVACCustomer? This is for importing existing leads from another CRM as well as entering new leads to know what they need. I originally just added a checkbox object, so nothing really saved. Now I have created these fields in Customer. However, I went into a lead that was recently typed in to check the new box. When saving, it says this name already exists in Quickbooks, please change it. What? Why can't I just edit the record? I tried just editing a field that is common such as email. Same thing!! How can you not be able to edit lead information after you save it? What if you made a data entry mistake?

    Hi theavspecialist,

Leads don't sync to QuickBooks so I'm not sure why you're receiving this message. Are you sure this lead hasn't been converted into a Customer? Even so you should be able to edit just the email address without receiving a conditional warning.

Try this, go to Customize > Tables/Fields > click on the Customer table > then click Finished Editing Fields. Do the same for the Entity table and the Contacts table, then try editing the record again and let me know what happens.
