    Report Designer - Change the amount of decimal places

    A user asked about how to change the decimal places on a field in the Report Designer.

    Dave,

    If you're editing your report in the Report Designer, click the small white arrow next to the field that is showing the wrong amount of decimal places. What does it say in the Format String field? If it doesn't look like the screenshot below, try clicking the three dots button beside the Format String field. Here you can change the field to currency if this is the format you are looking forLet me know if this helps and reply on this forum if you're still having difficulties.

    Re: Report Designer - Change the amount of decimal places

    Thanks for the quick response.  When i go to the screen you mentioned in the report designer the "Format String" box is blank.  I clicked on the 3 dots button to the right of the box and selected currency and then clicked 'ok', however after doing that the field still remains blank.  Am I missing something here?

    Answer

    David,

    Try entering this text into the Format String field: {0:$0.00}
