    online scheduling

    Hello,

    New user here. My name is Steve. We've been a long time QuickBooks user and in finding Method can finally work with QB outside of the office. It's great.  My question is, idoes any body knows of an online appointment scheduling system. I would like to have clients make athier own appointments and enter the basic customer informaiton.  Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Interesting thought, but would that require them to be a customer first to have access to the portal?  I want a way for a new customer to schedule an appointment and enter their basic information. Basically I want them to be able to complete the Web-to-Lead and schedule appointment at the same time.

    Hi Steve,

    It is possible to customize your Web-to-Lead form to allow for something like this, however you may run into problems when multiple appointments are scheduled at this same time. The best solution right now would probably be to redirect your new leads from the Web-to-Lead form to the Contacts Portal. Once they are entered as a new lead in Method, they can sign up for a portal account. The Contacts Portal can then be customized to allow your contacts to schedule appointments. To complete a customization job like this it may be best to work with a Method in-house consultant or a Method Solution ProviderHope this helps!

    Jason,

    We do residential remodeling. Clients use us for additional projects in the future, but the frequency is often years between. In other words, they would not be login into the portal but just the once, or twice if we did the job. Then, by the time they were ready for more work, they pretty much would be starting over again.

    Admittedly I am new to Method, but need to ask a stupid question...what is so great about the portal? Your solution sounds like a lot of steps just to get the client into the portal. So why?

    Hi Steve,

    The Portal is used so that your clients can log in and view and print their transactions, pay invoices, submit customer service requests, and view FAQ articles about your company. It's like a "My Account" area of Method for your clients. The great thing about a Portal is that it can be customized in the same way that Method can. Hope this helps!
