Bug: Method Invoice won't populate email address in QBO invoice

I create invoices from method but usually send them to my clients from QBO.  When I create an invoice within method, it will not populate the customer email address within the QBO invoice.  I've used Method for some time now; however, I've recently migrated to the QBO online version.  I can't report if this problem has always existed or is new since I just started using the QBO version.  Here are some other details you may require:

    Account: FRPools
    Invoice Screen: QBO_Invoice

Your reponse will be greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

    James

    Hello James,

I have had two customers report this as well.  To reiterate, if a customer has an email in Method and an invoice is created, the email address does not appear on the invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO).  I believe this is a new feature in QuickBooks Harmony.  Or I should say a difference between the classic QBO interface (the one with tabs) and QBO Harmony (the menu down the left side).  I have put in a feature request with the development team to see if it can be implemented.  I don't have an ETA on when this will be done.  If you like, give a call to Method support and we can create a case.  This way you can get updates on the feature request.

I'll call in a case; however, I'm curious why this would be a feature request vs. a bug?

It is a feature request because syncing an email with an invoice was not available before.  The email field is not on the invoice table in Method to sync over.  For the email to sync, we most likely will have to add it to the invoice table and add it to the sync code.  It's not a bug because nothing technically broke.

To give a little history, this year Method customers were put on the new and improved V3 sync for QBO.  Take a look at our article on the QuickBooks' IPPThis was in conjunction with QuickBooks switching everyone from the Classic QBO view to Harmony, which uses the V3 sync. (I think everyone is over now)   QuickBooks Online is ever evolving and we have functions that are new in QBO that we have to develop to sync with.  This is one of them.
